Zusammenfassung:	The drawing shows an apparatus for carrying out a method for the production of teeth, in which the tooth gaps are cut out in one working stroke with the aid of a cutting tool (9) of a design complementary to the profile of the teeth, cutting being effected by relative motions between the tool (9) and the workpiece (6), the workpiece (6) being mounted in a manner which prevents displacement in the axial direction. The workpiece (6) is first of all mounted in a manner fixed against rotation and the tool (9) then performs the cutting stroke. The tool (9) is rotatable in the circumferential direction and is guided in such a way that a displacement in the axial direction is associated with a predeterminable angle of rotation. The method according to the invention makes it possible to produce helical teeth economically, quickly and using an apparatus of simple construction.
