Trailer coupling for vehicles

A trailer coupling for vehicles, especially for passenger cars, which consists of a downwardly open housing arranged in a crossmember and of a ball neck which is equipped with a coupling ball and which can be inserted into the housing and locked releasably with this, holding grooves being provided on both sides in the lower housing part for pins projecting laterally from the ball neck, and there being arranged on the ball neck an eccentric tensioner, by means of which a ram mounted so as to vertically displaceable longitudinally in the ball neck is pressed against the upper part of the housing, in such a way that the pins of the ball neck are locked in the holding grooves, and the eccentric tensioner consisting of an eccentric mounted in the ball neck and detainable in a locking position, can be actuated by means of a separate clamping lever. The clamping lever can be slipped onto one end, designed as a shaped pin, of a shaft connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the eccentric, in such a way that a rotationally fixed connection of the clamping lever to the eccentric is maintained at least over the actuating travel of the latter.
