Adjusting device, especially for motor vehicle seats

Adjusting devices for motor vehicle seats are already known in which position data corresponding to different seat positions are stored in the memory of a stepping switch, which data are called up when a switch provided for each preselected seat position is actuated so that the motor vehicle seat is adjusted into the preselected position. It is proposed according to the present invention to assign to each of these switches a display element which indicates whether the position data have already been written into the memory via this switch. This is to avoid any position data having been written into the memory being overwritten by other data by mistake.
