Aluminium wheel, in particular motor vehicle wheel, and a method and device for its manufacture. The wheel nave and the wheel rim of the aluminium wheel are manufactured from a single aluminium disc. During the manufacture of the aluminium wheel, a cup is formed by deep-drawing from a circular disc made of an aluminium alloy suitable as regards conductivity and deformation resistance for magnetic forming, the curves of the wheel nave are formed in the bottom plate of the cup by presswork and the hub bore, the fastening holes and the alignment holes are then punched out by presswork and an assembled mould core, matched to the configuration of the rim, is then inserted into the cup and the rim is produced from the lateral surface of the cup by magnetic forming. The device for magnetic forming comprises assembled bottom, middle and top mould core part with the circumferential configuration of the rim, a clamping cone for the mould core parts, on which the workpiece to be formed is clamped by means of a clamping ring, and a magnetic forming coil which surrounds the mould core and is embedded in an electric insulating material.
