The invention relates to a switch, especially for installation in a grid plate, having at least two fixed-position contacts, at least one contact link which connects two contacts to one another in the closed position of the switch and consists of electrically conductive material, and having at least one operating element for the contact link. The invention is that at least one contact link (31), which is similar to an annular spring and consists of resilient material, is connected by a connecting section (32) to a contact element (30), that the contact element (30) is supported in the connecting section (32) such that it can pivot and interacts with two contacts (22, 23 and 23, 24 respectively), and that an operating element (42) which is supported such that it can pivot in the switch is provided, from whose pivoting movement the pivoting movement of the contact element is derived.
