Zusammenfassung:	The device has a housing (1) in which an electrode holder (2) with an electrode (5) fastened in it and a mechanism (6) for varying the angle of inclination of the electrode (5) are accommodated. The mechanism (6) for varying the angle of inclination of the electrode (5) has a sliding piece (7) which is accommodated in the housing (1) and has a bevelled end face (8) which is in constant contact with a spring-mounted lever (9) which is fastened to an electrode holder (2). In addition, the mechanism (6) has a slide (12) which is kinematically connected to the electrode holder and carries a plunger (13) which has a wedge-shaped surface (14) which is in constant contact with another end face (15) of the sliding piece (7), which is accommodated in a guide bush (10) which interacts with a rotary drive (11) for setting the electrode holder (2) in rotary movement.
