Zusammenfassung:	The gripper possesses a smooth, if appropriate deformable surface which has a liquid film and which, for handling an article, is pressed onto this. As a result of the cooling of the gripper surface, the liquid film between the gripper and the article freezes. The article thereby adheres to the gripper. The liquid film is obtained, for example, as a result of the formation of water condensate under slight cooling. Cooling takes place, for example, by means of gas expansion immediately behind the gripper surface. Brief heating is necessary for the discard.
