Spacer for adjacent support arches in roadway or tunnel support

In order to obtain an adjustable positive-locking connection in a spacer for the segments of adjacent arches in mine support, in which arrangement the ends of the bar-like spacer variable in length can be clamped to the arches by means of articulated connection means acting on the arches in a releasable manner, it is proposed that the connection means consist of an end plate (10, 17), which is fastened to the free end of a strut segment (6, 7) mounted on the support arch and is arranged transversely to the strut segment (6, 7), and of a roller (9, 15) which is mounted in a clamp (11, 16) and is firmly attached to the end of the spacer (1, 2), and that the roller (9, 15) and the end plate (10, 17) have interlocking splined tooth systems (10, 14), in which arrangement the roller (9, 15) can be restrained against the end plate (10, 17), in such a way as to be locked against rotation, by means of the clamp (11, 16) which can be tightened onto the end plate (10, 17) by means of screws.
