Zusammenfassung:An antenna arrangement for the reception of long-wave, medium-wave, short-wave and VHF broadcasts for vehicles, particularly for motor vehicles, exhibits two antenna conductors which are arranged on or in a window pane enclosed by a metallic frame. One antenna conductor is essentially arranged extending horizontally along a side edge following the window pane and the other one is arranged essentially vertically extending along another side edge following the window pane. Both antenna conductors are connected at their ends facing one another to a common connection point which is located in the facing corner area of the window pane. To achieve a characteristic which is as omnidirectional as possible, the geometric lengths of the antenna conductors are specially dimensioned, namely the horizontal antenna conductor (3) in accordance with equation Ih = lambda . a/2 pi with the determinant a of the order of magnitude of a = 60 DEG to 120 DEG in angular measure, and the vertical antenna conductor (4) differently from this in accordance with equation Iv = lambda . b/2 pi , with the determinant b = 30 DEG to 70 DEG in angular measure, the angular measure being defined by pi /180 and lambda being the wavelength of the centre operating frequency of the VHF frequency band to be received.
