Zusammenfassung: | Fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines, with a fuel- and closing spring-loaded valve needle (20) and a stop element (64) limiting the opening lift of the valve needle (20), which element is slidably mounted and also acted upon by the fuel pressure and a return force and the position of which determines the magnitude of the opening lift as a function of the pressure of the fuel delivered. The stop element (64) is a torus enclosing the valve needle (20) and/or the closing spring (44), which torus is preferably connected to a spring element (62) composed of elastically compressible material and acts in concert with an annular shoulder (50) coupled to the valve needle (20). This arrangement has the advantage that the stop element (64) does not increase the overall length of the injection nozzle and that no special means are necessary for generating a control pressure for the stop element. |
