Zusammenfassung:In the case of a settling device for a supercharged gas engine (1) running at constant speed with a charging air compressor (3) driven by way of the engine output and with a carburettor mixing valve (4) arranged downstream of the latter and upstream of the throttle valve (33), a gas pressure control valve (6) is arranged upstream of the mixing valve (4), which control valve, whenever the load is constant, controls the gas pressure (PG) by means of an actuator (14) as a function of an adjustable pretensioning of a reference spring (20) in such a way that the difference between gas pressure (PG) and charging pressure (PL) of the compressed charging air is constant in front of the mixing valve (4), the actuator (14) being acted upon in one direction by the force of the reference spring (20) and a force exerted by the charging pressure (PL) and in the opposite direction at least by a force exerted by the gas pressure (PG). In order to greatly reduce the settling time in the event of sudden, marked load changes, a device responding in the event of load changes is provided for varying at least one of the forces. This may be a device for varying the pretension of the reference spring (20) or at least a venting valve (solenoid valve 44).
