Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a sintering machine used in ferrous metallurgical engineering. The sintering machine comprises a sintering belt (1) and a collector (6), vacuum chambers (5), an air cleaner (7) and an exhaustor (8), which are arranged next to the sintering belt (1). Units (2 and 3) for charging the grate covering and ore respectively, and an ignition furnace (4) are located above the sintering belt (1). Downstream of the sintering belt (1), a crusher (10) and a drop chute (11) are provided which are connected to coolers (14 and 15) for cooling the return material and grate covering respectively. In the drop chute (11), an air separator (12) is located which comprises a fan (17), a diffusor (18), a movable grate (19) for altering the velocity of the air delivered by the fan, and a partition (20) which forms a settling chamber (33) together with the drop chute (11). A device (21) for settling coarse-grained fines, connected to the collector (6) and to the return material cooler (14), is accommodated in the settling chamber (33). The sintering machine is used for producing sintered material containing at most 0.2 to 0.3 % of fines of the grain class 5-0 mm.
