Zusammenfassung:	A masonry wall block is proposed which consists of an outer-wall portion and an inner-wall portion and also an air-chamber portion arranged between these two portions. In the region of this air-chamber portion, the mortar bond is interrupted, so that high heat insulation and protection against moisture is achieved inwards. The air chambers of the air-chamber region are usable in such a way that they can be foam-filled to improve the heat insulation or in such a way that they are used for forming air ducts which extend inside the wall through the individual masonry wall blocks. Insulating, flexible plastics strips can be provided in the region of the air-chamber portion.
