Zusammenfassung:The subject of the invention is a device for improving the grip of the tyres of a motor vehicle on a carriageway covered with ice and/or snow, said invention consisting essentially of a container filled with grit. According to the invention, the grit container, which when not in use is stored at a suitable point (for example luggage space or loading space) within the motor vehicle, is mounted by means of simple attachment means on or in front of the engine bonnet of the motor vehicle, a discharge device for conveying the grit in front of the front wheels of the motor vehicle being provided on the grit container (1).
