Zusammenfassung:Rising energy costs demand energy-saving processes in the production of glazed and/or decorated ceramic mouldings. Ceramic mouldings which have been fired only once are known, but the pressed mouldings are mechanically unstable, difficult to handle and cannot be decorated and glazed in the wet state. Mouldings which are easy to handle and can be glazed and/or decorated are obtained if a silicic acid ester is added as a moulding aid to the ceramic compositions.
