Zusammenfassung:	Flange connections having multi-layer apparatus or pipeline parts one below the other, in which corrosive and hot gases are manipulated, consist of an inner lining, which is composed of glass or quartz that is resistant to temperature changes and is surrounded by an external metal jacket, the intermediate space between the outer jacket and the lining being filled with a thermally insulating material. Arranged between the lining and the outer jacket, in the region of the ends of the lining, there are fire-resistant blocks, which surround the lining, are supporting, and do not touch over the complete area, the lining with the fire-resistant blocks terminating at at least one end in a manner which is not flush. The fire-resistant blocks surrounding the lining close at least largely in a flush manner with the outer jacket surrounding them, whose two ends merge into a flange connection.
