Zusammenfassung:	A double clutch serves for the independent connection of the engine to the vehicle drive and a power take-off in the power transmission device of tractors. A drive clutch connects the engine shaft to a vehicle drive shaft and a power take-off clutch connects the engine shaft to a power take-off shaft. In order to relieve the particularly highly stressed drive clutch and thereby extend its service life, the vehicle drive shaft and the power take-off shaft are, according to the invention, able to be connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner by means of a coupling device so that the power take-off clutch can assume a part of the load of the drive clutch. The coupling device is appropriately engaged particularly when high vehicle forces occur and the power take-off is not required. By disengaging the coupling device the facility for independent connection of the vehicle drive and the power take-off is maintained.
