Method and device for processing signals, particularly video signals

In this method, the input signal is fed in on N lines. The number N is specified in accordance with the desired accuracy of the continuous filter variation. In each line, the signal is modulated with a predeterminable carrier frequency, filtered, demodulated and then amplified or attenuated, respectively, and the resultant signals are added together. For two-dimensional filtering, the entire signal bandwidth is sampled in rotation and the rotation is cancelled following the filtering.
