Zusammenfassung:The installation for roasting pellets comprises a conveying means (1) for conveying the pellets, chambers arranged in a technologically determined sequence in the direction of travel of the conveying means (1), namely drying chambers (2, 3), a roasting chamber (4) with a burnable-gas supply device and a cooling chamber (5), as well as systems for the forced air supply to the chambers and the removal of the combustion products from the layer of pellets situated on the conveying means (1). The burnable-gas supply device of the roasting chamber (4) is designed as a distributor grating (11) which is accommodated in the lower part of the roasting chamber (4), is at a distance from the conveying means (1) of approximately 1/10 to approximately 1/4 of the chamber height and takes up at least 40% of the surface area of the roasting chamber (4). The distributor grating is formed by perforated pipes (12) for burnable-gas supply and, running parallel underneath these, water cooling pipes (13) for jet-shaped flow of the burnable-gas/air mixture to the layer of the pellets during the forced removal of the combustion products from the layer of the pellets situated on the conveying means (1).
