Zusammenfassung:	The electric furnace for the chemical-thermal treatment of workpieces of metals and alloys contains a housing (1) which is designed in the form of an iron surround consisting of an electromagnet sheet. A muffle (2) and heating elements (7) are coaxially arranged in the housing (1). Between the housing (1) and the muffle (2), there are electromagnets whose pole shoes (6) face the muffle (2). The housing (1) and the pole shoes (6) of the electromagnets form a magnetic system which surrounds the muffle (2) in mutually perpendicular directions.
