Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a tabulation setting device which serves for stopping the carriage of a typewriter in a desired position. This tabulation setting device comprises an unevenly-shaped cutout which is formed in the frame of a typewriter and in which a tabulation carrier can be pivoted. Formed in this unevenly-shaped cutout on the bottom surface are two pairs of projections for supporting the tabulation carrier, one pair of projections being used as pivots for pivoting the tabulation carrier when setting one or more tabulation pins, whereas the other pair of projections is used as pivots for pivoting the tabulation carrier when releasing one or more tabulation pins.
