Novel monoammonium alkyl alkanolphosphates of the general formula I in which X denotes a valence bond, oxygen, sulphur, the sulphinyl or sulphonyl group, a cycloalkylene or phenyl radical, R1 denotes hydrogen or an optionally substituted saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical having 1-18 C-atoms, R2 denotes an optionally substituted saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical having 1-18 C-atoms, R3 denotes an optionally substituted saturated or unsaturated alkylene chain having 2-8 C-atoms, which can also be part of a cycloalkane ring, R4 denotes an alkylene chain having 2-4 C-atoms, R5 denotes hydrogen or a lower alkyl group and n denotes the numbers 0, 1 or 2, with the proviso that, if R1 does not denote hydrogen, R3 must be an unsaturated or phenyl- or alkoxyalkoxy-substituted saturated alkylene chain and that R1 and R2 together may have at most 20 carbon atoms, their pharmacologically acceptable salts, processes for their preparation, medicaments containing these compounds, and their use for combatting cancer.
