Installation for cleaning fire-engine hoses or other similar hoses

An installation provided for cleaning fire-engine hoses or other similar hoses contains an elongate trough (10) which serves as a drying chamber (11) and into which a number of hoses (16) can be placed next to one another in the stretched-out state, furthermore a washing device (13) located at one end of the trough and a conveying device (18) which is movable along the trough and by means of which a hose (16) can be drawn forwards through the washing device (13) and over the trough (10) and, after washing has been completed, deposited into the drying chamber (11). To make it easier to deposit the hoses in the correct position relative to one another in the trough, the conveying device is designed as a hauling carriage (18) which is carried by rails (19) located next to the upper longitudinal edges of the trough (10) and which is equipped with members (20) for retaining one end of the hose (16) removably on the carriage in any position in the transverse direction of the trough (10).
