Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for the detachable clamp joining of pipes in exhaust systems and the detachable pipe clamping joint. In order to make possible a lightweight joint, which is easy to handle and economic to produce, it is proposed that a tubular, freely movable clamping shell is pushed over the pipes to be joined, which shell is then compressed over the entire length on at least one side in such a way that a tightly sealed joint is produced between the inner face of the clamping shell and the outside diameter of the pipes to be joined.
