Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a recuperator, which consists of a plurality of hot gas tubes, which are arranged in parallel and inserted on both sides in face plates, penetrating holes therein, and of a positive guiding system for the gases which flow around the hot gas tubes and are to be preheated. The positive guiding system is provided by enclosing tubes which surround the hot gas tubes at a distance fixed by spacers and which open at their ends into manifold channels for feeding or discharging the gases. In this arrangement, the space about the hot gas tubes between the face plates is to be subdivided by splitters, surrounded by an enclosing plate, and sealed at the top by inlet and outlet stubs.
