Zusammenfassung: | The method for the production of a bimetallic cylinder for a piston machine consists in that a cleaned insert (1), which represents the jacket (8) of a cylinder (7), is produced from aluminium, arranged in a casting mould (2) and treated with a flux (3), after which the molten cast iron (5) from which the cylinder liner (6) is produced is poured in. The cooled bimetallic cylinder (7) for a piston machine produced by this method consists of a cast-iron cylinder liner (6), which has intersecting reinforcing ribs, and of an aluminium cooling jacket (8) which surrounds the said liner. The casting mould (2) for the production of the cooled bimetallic cylinder (7) for a piston machine consists of two halves (17 and 18). Each half (17, 18) has a metal part and a part produced from the moulding material. The parts mentioned are sintered to one another. The metal part of the mould half (17, 18) represents half of the cylinder jacket (8), which is produced from aluminium. The method for the production of the mould (2) mentioned consists in that a pattern is first of all prepared, its shape corresponding to half the liner (6) of the cylinder mentioned. Half the aluminium jacket insert of this cylinder is then mounted on the pattern. The pattern with the insert (1) mounted on it is then heated. The moulding composition is then poured in and the sintering operation is carried out. The pattern (21) is then separated from the insert (1) and from the moulding composition sintered to it. In this way, one of the mould halves (17 or 18) mentioned is produced. The second mould half (17 or 18) is produced in a similar sequence of operations. The two mould halves are joined together to give a casting mould (2). |
