Zusammenfassung:	Water discharge equipent fo the sec. cooling zone of a continuous casting plant copises a collector vessel which communicates with a tank provided with a drainage pipe. The collector vessel is funnel shaped and has a remoVable botto in the form of a trough made of low .pt. material. The tank is positioned externally of the tough. If a breakout occurs, the molten metal quickly melts through the bottom of the collector Vessel for reception in a separate container so that the danger of explosions is minimised and minimal clean-up operations on the equipment ae required.
