Zusammenfassung: | A throat gas is fed through a dry cooling chamber (a) for coke; and chamber (a) is also fed with oxygen. The gases leaving chamber (a) are then used as a fuel gas in the lower combustion chamber of a coke oven. The heat in the gases leaving chamber (a) are pref. used in another part of the coke oven battery, esp. to preheat coal, before being burnt in the lower combustion chamber of the coke oven. The lower limit of the calorific value of the throat gas is pref. adjusted by saturating the gas with steam. Esp. the exploitation of throat gas with a low calorific value and obtd. from a blast furnace. |
