Zusammenfassung:The power converter has a transformer (T) with a primary (N1) coupled across an AC supply and a number of secondaries (N21,N22) each coupled to a controlled rectifier. A DC motor is coupled across the outputs of the rectifiers connected in cascade and a phase advancing circuit is connected in parallel with one of the controlled rectifiers. The phase advancing circuit has a number of phase advancing devices (PL1,PL2) with different capacitance values each in series with a thyristor switch (TSW1,TSW2) controlled in dependence on the transport mode of the drive.
