Zusammenfassung:	A device of this type has a flexible cover (2) which is stretched over the chute (1) in the closed position and projects into the chute (1) in a collapsed manner in the open position. To this end, one edge (4) of the cover (2) is fastened to a rotatable, fixedly mounted hollow shaft (5) and the other edge (19) is fastened to a support (20) which is displaceably mounted at its ends on guide rods (26). The support (20) is connected by a coupling piece (36) to the lower strand (35) of a flexible drive (30), e.g. a chain drive, which is guided by means of wheels (32, 33, 34). For the open position, the support (20) is moved below the hollow shaft (5), the cover (2) projecting into the chute (1) in a collapsed manner, while in the closed position, the cover (2) is placed over the chute (1) and is stretched by the action of a tension screw (15). Use of the flexible cover (2) makes it unnecessary to provide additional space to accommodate the cover (2) in the open position, and in addition a simple drive can be used.
