Zusammenfassung: | Flat or similar components of fibre-reinforced materials are moulded by feeding narrow strips (6) of fibrous material, esp. 2-4 mm wide, from feed reels through an impregnation device (9), where adhesive is applied, into a negative mould (24), where the material is spread out and pressed to form the component. The process is quasi-continuous. Excessive impregnated fibrous strand material projecting from the mould is cut off, weighed (25) to determine the adhesive content. This content is then used for regulating the squeezer device (9) which controls the adhesive content applied in the impregnation of the fibres. Used in mfr. of glass fibre-reinforced helicopter blades, etc. where the content of adhesive is of great importance and the elimination of air bubbles is vital. The arrangement enables controlled mechanical and automatic prodn. of the mouldings to be achieved with better quality and at much higher prodn. rates than conventional manual operations. |
