Stapling machine joining sheets together - has stapling arm initially and automatically lowered onto material awaiting stapling

The driving arm acts on the stapling arm containing the stapling clips, thus instigating the stapling process on the material, in a stapling machine -as used where it is not economical to bind sheets together into a book. The stapling arm (2) is automatically lowered onto the material to be stapled (3) before the stapling process begins. It may be kept under the influence of a spring (30), pressing it in its blocked rest position against a stationary stop and automatically lowering it when it is released. The arm can be attached to a rocker (14) engaged by the spring.
