A casing for plant and equipment comprises front and back walls, firmly locked between the top and bottom half-shells, and equipped on their inner faces with bars for the attachment of the equipment components. Pref., the front and rear walls are locked into two longitudinal grooves in the half-shells. The joints between the front and rear walls and these half-shells may be sealed with rubber cords, silicone rubber, PTFE tape or the like. A casing of this type is simple and easy to mass produce and assemble and is easy to maintain. It is dustproof and splashproof. Typically it may be used for housing electronic equipment, etc.
