Grinding process for hard wet coal - uses enclosed system with dustproof material feed and discharge

Coal or coke which is still fluid but hard and wet is ground up in an enclosed system with dust proof material feed and discharge. The condensate-laden clouds produced during the grinding process are exhausted on the feed end of the grinder. The grinder is provided with an exhaust system which produces an airflow across the grinder which acts in direction opposite to the material flow. The moisture content of the finely ground material leaving the grinder (6) is controlled by varying the air volume passing through the grinder. The moving grinder feed is fitted with a fixed position cloud exhaust hood (3). The discharge end of the grinder is fitted with an encased fine grain discharge (7) provided with a fresh air intake.
