Rotating lathe chuck actuating cylinder - has oil supplied via annular grooves in fixed housing contg. leak chambers returning oil to grooves

The oil distributor block is intended for a rotating clamping cylinder (1), particularly in a multi-spindle lathe. It comprises a clamp operating piston (2) axially movable in the cylinder and a shaft end (3) fixed to the cylinder which contains two oil ducts (9,10) and rotates in a fixed housing (4) having annular grooves (7,8) communicating with the ducts and provided with pressure connections (5,6). The housing contains separate chambers (13,14) to collect oil leakage. The chambers are each connected to one of the grooves via a bore (15,16) containing a non-return valve (17,18) opening in the direction of the corresponding groove.
