Zusammenfassung: | The lighting equipment is post, or otherwise, mounted above the crossing on each side and shines focussed rectangular beams down onto the crossing so that it is completely lit with a defined pattern. The lighting pattern improves the prominence of the crossing to improve safety. The lamp housings are mounted on posts either side of the crossing so that a series of flat rectangular beams light to complete crossing. The beams closer to the pathways have wider dispersion angles than those lighting the central part so that the lighting plan across the crossing is also rectangular on the ground plan and the full width of each crossing segment. The lamp housing may contain a separate lamp and reflector for each rectangular beam, or one lamp and several focussed reflectors, or one lamp and apertures to emit the rectangular beams. |
