Zusammenfassung: | The waste water compsn. is first determined analytically. The determined valuable substances are extd. separately from the waste water, in planned stages. Specifically selected chemical, biochemical and/or physico- chemical process steps are initiated and carried out for each valuable substance, so as to convert the substances into derivs., monomers or polymers which can then be recovered as solids by adding specific chemicals. The process is used esp. in food industry. Processes for treating (1) glucose-, protein- and aminoacid-contg. waste waters, e.g. from potato starch prodn.; (2) waste waters having a low glucose- or protein content, e.g. from cucumber processing ; and (3) waste water from fruit juice mfr., are specifically claimed. COD can be reduced more than with other processes. E.g. in potato starch prodn. waste water processing, COD was reduced from 41500- to less than 1000 mg/l corresponding to 97 % degradation efficiency. |
