Zusammenfassung: | The level monitor uses a lever (2) pivoted about a horizontal axis (1) with a float (3) at its free end. A braking roller (9) or disc is attached to the lever axis (1) acted on by an inertia mass (10) during rapid acceleration or retardation to prevent sudden oscillation movement of the lever (2). Pref. the inertia mass (10) comprises a heavy pendulum (11) rotatable about an axis (12) parallel to the pivot axis (1) of the lever (2) with two braking surfaces (13,13') at a wide angle to each other, which come into contact with the braking disc (9) when the pendulum (11) moves respectively backwards or forwards. The brake roller (9) may comprise a circular segment which extends over the range of movement of the lever (2). The level monitor can also be used for an automobile oil or brake fluid reservoir. |
