VERFAHREN ZUR HERSTELLUNG VON FORMTEILEN

Shaped parts such as foundry moulds are produced from a moulding mass which contains a granular or powdery filler, a soluble or dispersible binding agent, a solvent or dispersant, and optionally additives the nature of which depends upon the intended use of the shaped parts, wherein the materials constituting the moulding mass are mixed at an elevated temperature and increased pressure to give a homogeneous mass in which the ratio of the binding agent mass to the volume of the solvent is close to the saturation concentration at the elevated temperature, or the binding agent dispersion is close to its coalescent conditions. The hot homogeneous moulding mass is brought into the desired shape and during or immediately after shaping, the elevated temperature and the increased pressure acting on the moulding mass are removed.
