Zusammenfassung:An automatic system is used to maintain a constant flow velocity through a flow line. Flow from a supply line (1) to an output line (2) is regulated by a control valve (4) that is regulated by signals from sensing stages (7,8). The flow sensor consists of a float (6) that changes the height in a tapered section (3) dependent upon the flow rate. The sensing stages, which can be either optical or magnetic, are set to provide signals that relate to switch on and switch-off conditions for the valve.
