The fillers have a particle size distribution of more than 50% by weight in the range from 2 to 6 microns. As a consequence of a specific absorption capacity in the infra-red range, the film can be used to improve the microclimate for agricultural crops. The film according to the invention is produced by mixing 1-20% by weight, based on the total weight, of inorganic fillers and, if desired, dyes, pigments, antioxidants, antistatics, antifogging agents, UV stabilisers and lubricants under extrusion conditions with a polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer. |
