The pre- copolymer is produced by the radical polymerisation of diallyl phthalate and triallyl isocyanurate in the presence of molecular oxygen or a polymerisation initiator. Shaped articles obtained by molding and curing the pre-copolymer have better heat stability than articles prepared from pre-homopolymers of diallyl phthalate.
