Ceiling or wall cladding panel, square or rectangular in shape made of plywood or wood chip, has the wood layer shaped with a central part projecting from its edges, with a void between. A groove extends all round the edge. The wood layer carries a plastics foam layer. The region between centre and edges, is sloping. In one form, spacer blocks can be included inside the void, and in another form the flat surface incorporates grooves. The spacer blocks can be of foam plastics. The wood layer can carry a veneer layer.
