Cast-on edging trim for coated chipboards - produced by injection into mould of resin held by liner

An arrangement having two mould halves with between these an elastic intermediate layer of silicone or fluorinated rubber, for balancing out the thickness tolerances, is used in a process for injecting or casting around the edges of coated chipboards, a material which is hardened off in the mould. The coated chipboards are for furniture and esp. for table tops, the fluid resin is esp. polyurethane. During injection or casting the two rigid mould halves enclose the circumference of the board with pressure, and in the zones where they grip the board, they form together with the intermediate layer, the closed chamber around which the flow of injected resin takes place.
