Zusammenfassung:A process for the production of a heat-insulating bonded fibrous article from fibrous material, especially ceramic fibrous material, includes forming a slurry of the material and then forming it to the desired shape (e.g. a mat). Before or after the material is shaped or bonded it is soaked with a monoaluminium phosphate solution and the material is then dried and heat treated at at least 400 DEG C and thereafter optionally fired.
