Zusammenfassung:	The energy passes through the transparent or translucent wall of a container or pipe in which is an aq. soln. of a Ni salt used as a heat absorption liq.; and the wall of the pipe or container is at least permeable to infrared rays. The pref. soln. contains NiCl2 or NiSO4, and esp. 4 kg. of either salt mixed with 5 l. water, and at pH 5-7. One pref. plant uses a coil of heat-resistant, transparent plastic pipe, through which the soln. is circulated via a pump and then flows through a heat exchanger. The rear wall of the pipe coil is pref. provided with thermal insulation. The inventor has discovered that Ni salt solns. are exceptionally efficient when used to absorb heat.
