Zusammenfassung: | Gas mixtures are separated in vortex chamber which consists of a rotationally symmetrical hollow body supported in at least one gas bearing. The rotor is vertically and has a gas journal bearing near the top. It has a conically mounted thrust bearing near the base which can have either static or dynamic gas lubrication. This lower bearing can incorporate bands or springs as are used in several proprietary types of gas bearing. For separating gas mixtures into two fractions by centrifugal action. The highest speed with lateral stability is achieved by the use of gas bearings whether static or dynamic. |
