Zusammenfassung:	Device for testing the viscosity of oils gives reliable indications inside a given temp. range of interest at any desired position and is easy to operate. Basic device consists of a measurement tube and parallel comparison tube contg. the measurement oil and an oil of known viscosity-temp. characteristic respectively. Each tube also contains a sinking body. A further comparison tube parallel to the other tubes also contains a sinking body and oil of known viscosity-temp. relation. Comparison tubes are interchangeable. Viscosities of the reference oils are equal to the highest and lowest permissible viscosities respectively of the measurement oil over the measurement temp. range. Sinking bodies are of magnetic material and may be positioned using a magnet.
