Zusammenfassung:The surface vehicle drive motor (30) comprises a free running turbine with a recuperation facility. It has a gas generator section (52) and a power turbine (54) fitted on a shaft separately from the gas generator (52). A recuperator (56) leads back exhaust gases in order to heat the compressed flow medium prior to its introduction into the combustion process. A fuel source is available, and the fuel control incorporated involves a fuel pump, and an operating valve, the latter governing the fuel throughput during acceleration or slowing down of the motor. A further control affects the variable positions of stator blades incorporated in the power turbine section (54). An electronic control receives input parameter signals, processes them, and produces output control signals to the fuel governor and the blade operating control.
