Zusammenfassung:	Textile fabrics made entirely or partly of cellulose fibres are pretreated for subsequent printing by a thermo transfer process by treating with an ethylene vinyl ester (pref. acetate) copolymer dispersion. Compared to a vinyl ester homopolymer the ethylene of the copolymer not only gives an improved dye transfer but also imparts good fastness of the transferred dye to washing. The printed fabric also has a supple and pleasant feel. The copolymer pref. comprises 10-40 wt.% and vinyl acetate. Alternatively it comprises 1-35wt.% vinyl chloride, 10-15wt.% ethylene and balance vinyl acetate.
